University of Sinnar
The University of Sinnar was established in 1994 by separating Abuna’ama College of Agriculture and Natural Resources from the Blue Nile University, and then new faculties were added to the university.
The University of Gezira, located in Sudan, is a prominent public university established in 1975. It is situated in the city of Wad Madani, in the Gezira State.
Abdul Latif Al-Hamad Technological University, also known as the Technological University of Merowe, is a national public university established in 2015.
In 2005 NUSU started as a college (National College for Medical and Technical Studies). The MHESR approved the start with 4 bachelor’s programmes (medicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy and health informatics) and 3-year diploma in physiotherapy.
It was established in 1994 by the issuance of Republican Decree No. 67, concerning the establishment of state universities as part of the Higher Education Revolution policy, which aimed to provide opportunities for university education to the largest possible number of Sudanese people of different backgrounds and varying ages, after admission had previously been limited and centralized in universities located in Khartoum.
The Technological University was established on June 14, 2018, and prior to this date, it had operated under different names since 1990.The Technological University aims to prepare qualified technical cadres capable of addressing economic and social challenges and advancing the wheel of knowledge through quality education, scientific research, and continuous training that keeps pace with technology. This can be achieved through robust infrastructure, sound foundations, and competent staff.
University of Ed Daein is a Sudanese public university affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Sudan. It was established in 2016. The university is located in East Darfur State and includes a number of colleges and advanced research centers.
West Kordofan University was established in 1997 to be a beacon of thought and scientific renaissance and a bridge of communication between the various states of Sudan with sources of knowledge and modern science, and a crucible in which the necessary cadres in all disciplines are prepared and trained for the participation of the local community.
The College of Peace is part of the University of Peace in Al-Fula, West Kordofan State.
The university was established with the aim of offering higher education and scientific research programs, grounded in Sudanese heritage and values, while striving to meet the needs of the local community in West and South Kordofan, as well as the western regions in general.
